WHO IS THE RAT???

So we know how the story goes. The Patriots got exposed in the Super Bowl. Drake Maye had a difficult game, and the offensive line got obliterated. It wasn't just Will Campbell getting owned...it was EVERYBODY on the offensive line. The offense couldn't move the football, and it felt like the Seahawks were able to listen to the Patriots' plays being called.

But...

What if someone spilled the beans and ratted out the Patriots before the Super Bowl?

Who would have intimate knowledge of how the Patriots' offense operates?

This story is coming up today due to a recent social media clip involving Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald. Coach Macdonald says in the clip that there was one person he reached out to for advice before the Super Bowl against the Patriots who helped them a lot, but he wouldn't reveal who. He said there might be a "conflict of interest."

Huh?

Who could have offered intimate information about the Patriots' offense and how it functions? And who would be considered a conflict of interest?

Well, one name keeps coming up consistently on X in conversations, and it's the GOAT, Tom Brady. It is already public information that Tom Brady texted Mike Macdonald after the Super Bowl to congratulate him. But did he speak with him before the game? Brady hired Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to be the Raiders' next head coach and would have had frequent communication with the Seahawks organization. Brady also said before the Super Bowl that "he has no dog in the fight" when referencing which team he wanted to win, irking many former Patriots teammates.

Personally, I hope it isn't true. I hope Tom Brady has more integrity than to spill the beans about Josh McDaniels, his close friend, before the big game.

Another person who would have intimate knowledge about the Patriots' offense and is clearly holding a grudge against the organization is Bill Belichick.

In the social media clip, Mike Macdonald denied speaking with Belichick, saying, "He's not that cool," but I'm not sure I believe him. Belichick would have tons of information about how the Patriots operate and would have motivation to try to harm the organization. He continues to feud with Robert Kraft, despite Kraft's recent efforts to mend the relationship.

One thing is certain: this feels dirty. Someone ratted, and I want to know who.
