What’s Next For the Patriots?

What’s next?

After a massive cathartic release Monday around 4:15 pm, we are all left with a nagging question. What’s next?

The most obvious answer of course is Christian Gonzalez. I’m not going to go there however.

I instead want to talk about the depth chart at WR.

With the addition of AJ Brown, the wide receiver room gains a lot of clarity. There is however 1 position that I would argue does not have a definitive answer. The slot.

Pop Douglas current is the leader in the club house to play that position however he’s more suited for the Z role in my opinion

Eftom Chism III is another contender but a second year undrafted player is far from a sure thing. (Be honest, you feel the same way).

If The Patriots are truly doing everything they can for Drake, they need a little more help.

Enter Stefon Diggs.

Diggs still remains unsigned. Why? After the season he had, why in the blue hell is he still a free agent? Answer? This was the plan all along. (Maybe).

Diggs fits perfectly into the rook as constructed. He’s shown the ability to function in and out of the slot. He loves Drake, He loves Vrabel. It makes too much sense.

This is ABSOLUTELY not a prediction BUT I wouldn’t be shocked if come training camp, Stefon Diggs is a Patriot once more.
