Projected 53 Man Roster, including a surprise addition.
QUARTERBACK (3) Drake Maye, Tommy DeVito, Behren Morton
(Morton makes the active roster and is the emergency third quarterback.)
FULLBACK (1)
(Gilliam is one of the best FB's in the NFL and will be a crucial part of the Patriots' run game success.)
RUNNING BACK (3) Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, Jam Miller
(RB3 is a toss up between Miller, Larison, and now a returning Jennings.)
WIDE RECIEVER (6) AJ Brown, Romeo Doubs, Kyle Williams, Mack Hollins, Demario Douglas, Efton Chism III
(Patriots do right by Kayshon Boutte and trade him for a 5th round pick. Chism makes the active roster.)
TIGHT END (3) Hunter Henry, Eli Raridon, Tanner Arkin
(With a season-ending injury to Julian Hill, UDFA Arkin has displayed his run blocking skills throughout training camp and is in position to be the Patriots’ TE3 for this upcoming season.)
OFFENSIVE LINE (9) Will Campbell, Alijah Vera-Tucker, Jared Wilson, Mike Onwenu, Morgan Moses, Caleb Lomu, Ben Brown, Dametrious Crownover, James Hudson III
(Patriots keep their drafted rookie tackles, veteran IOL Brown, along with signed veteran tackle Hudson III, who’s been playing RG in training camp and gives them versatility at LT, RT, RG )
DEFENSIVE LINE/EDGE (11) Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, Corey Durden, Joshua Farmer, Leonard Taylor III, Dre’Mont Jones, Joey Bosa, Gabe Jacas, Elijah Ponder, Harold Landry, Bradyn Swinson
(With a behind rookie Jacas and injured Landry I have the Patriots signing Bosa to a one year, $10 million deal. This allows the Patriots to start him next to Jones as Jacas develops into the eventual starting ROLB of the future.)
LINEBACKER (4) Robert Spillane, Christian Ellis, Chad Muma, Khalil Jacobs
(Muma has been getting the most reps behind Spillane and Ellis throughout training camp. UDFA Jacobs has also been outplaying Britt in camp and has a real shot at making the 53 man.)
CORNERBACK (6) Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis III, Marcus Jones, Charles Woods, Karon Prunty, Kindle Vildor
(The top 2 backup CB’s at training camp have been Woods and Prunty. Aside from just depth, Vildor would likely be utilized as a 4-phase special teams player. )
SAFETY (5) Kevin Byard, Craig Woodson, Brenden Schooler, Dell Pettus, Mike Brown
(Pettus has been the top backup safety at training camp. Last spot is between Saunders Jr. and Brown. I have Brown’s special teams value and experience under Vrabel with Byard giving him the edge.)
SPECIAL TEAMS (3) Andy Borregales, Bryce Baringer, Julian Ashby
