Hey guys!

Welcome to Patriots minicamp week!

We get 3 days of football this week before we enter another dark age. After the minicamp ends on June 11, we don't have any organized team football activities until training camp in late July. These practices should at least wet the whistle for a bit before a very quiet sports summer. No thanks to the Red Sox, who have decided to make their franchise unrecognizable from the past and have maybe the worst regular lineup in 100 years. enjoy lol.

What are we watching for today??

Does Christian Gonzalez show up?

- Gonzo is clearly not participating in team activities due to wanting a new contract. We need to see if he shows up today and to which level does he participate. Patriots reporter Mike Reiss expects Gonzalez to be in attendance today, bit questions the amount he will participate. Personally if it were me, I would show up and simply hold in, as to not get fined. The team is certainly expecting him to show up. People are upset that he participated in his own charity basketball game and has not been at camp for the Patriots, and i completely understand. Lets hope the deal get's worked out quickly to get Gonzo the raise that he deserves.

- Rookies -

Where is Gabe Jacas? He remains the only rookie to this point who has not signed his deal. He has also yet to participate in any practices which is reportedly due to a lingering injury from college and not due to contractual issues. Would love to see a healthy Gabe Jacas takr the field this week and see how he looks, even though there's no contact. Also still looking forward to seeing the build and athleticism of Eli Raridon. After the Julian Hill injury, Raridon is gonna be forced into a bigger role immediately. He needs to bulk up and become an effective blocker as a rookie to lock down that second tight end spot. We know he's big and athletic, and i'm hopeful he can become an effective starting Y tight end.

- AJ Brown

- What even needs to be said? Having a true WR 1 on the field brings so much juice to the team. They've been desperately missing a top tier WR and Brown absolutely fills that role. He has a different level of physicality at the poition and can bully cornerbacks as he makes his breaks out of routes. Watching Drake Maye throw to AJ will be special. Still waiting to see what happens to Stefon Diggs, or if the team even wants him back, but the WR unit is massively upgraded already.

Should be a fun few days and nice to have some level of football play before it goes completelty dark.

enjoy.
