Patriots’ long-time captain Matthew Slater has a new job with Boston College High School. Earlier today, the high school announced on Instagram that they would be hiring Slater in an Assistant Head Coach for Leadership and Player Development role.
Slater, who was last coaching for the Patriots as an assistant special teams coordinator, is excited for the opportunity.
"It is a privilege to work alongside a school so deeply committed to developing young men of character," Slater said. "Football is one of the greatest classrooms for teaching life's most important lessons."
Slater earned ten Pro-Bowl selections, five All-Pro nominations, and won three Super Bowls throughout his sixteen seasons in the National Football League, all as a member of the Patriots.
The BC high coach not only excelled on the field, as his leadership and work ethic earned him captaincy for thirteen consecutive seasons.
